JOB SUMMARY
Proactive MD’s proprietary Health Center practice model puts the provider-patient relationship at the center of the care experience. As a Collaborative/Supervising Physician, you will be responsible for leading nurse practitioners, and physician assistants across multiple locations, reviewing and monitoring charts and improving patient care. At Proactive MD our goal is to minimize administrative distractions found in traditional healthcare organizations. Your time is spent leading and teaching our providers to deliver the best-in-class primary care services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for clinical collaboration and oversight of primary care providers
- Participate in management activities such as monthly chart reviews, provider performance reviews and support Medical Affairs leadership as requested for disciplinary action.
- Facilitate and lead the coordination with providers to foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- At the request of Medical Affairs leadership, may be asked to participate, in the resolution of patient escalations while considering risk mitigation, company values, and patient and client interests.
- As requested by Medical Affairs leadership team, provide input on internal continuing education.
- Available at all times to assist providers with medical decision-making and clinical care consultation.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Active state medical license with ability / interest to add nearby states if needed.
- A minimum of historical Board Certification in an applicable primary care field.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Knowledge of the healthcare industry and stay up to date on available patient resources.
- Ability to prioritize needs and plan work accordingly.
- Efficient and effective written communicator.
- Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality requirements.
